Lauzon Summer Wildlife
In Ontario, we are gifted with wonderful and vast forests. Safe to say we play host to one of the world’s most biodiverse and beautiful forests here around Lake Lauzon.
With hundreds of species of birds, bears, deer, moose, foxes, wolves and fish; there is always something new to discover. One of my favorite places to try and spot wildlife are on the trails at the end of Lauzon Village Rd. Often, in the summer months, the trails are clear enough to take a good 2-3 hour tour on a 4-wheeler. Once you’re in deep enough, you start seeing the signs of a busy little animal neighborhood. This is where you leave your noisy steed behind and start your adventure on foot. Tracks, droppings, broken branches, are just some of the obvious traits that an animal has been in these woods. If you’re planning on going to discover what these woods have to offer, just make sure and read up on a few packing & safety tips. Who knows, maybe you’ll even find Bigfoot at Lauzon Beach!
