Fish in the Fall

Lauzon Creek has been officially classified as a Fish Sanctuary.

The biodiversity of this small little creek is incredible. In the Fall, Coho Salmon use this creek as a means to swim upstream to spawn in the lake. The powerful fish jump and push through the strong current to the quiet bay at the top. Each year I see this, it’s even more amazing. The sheer intuition they have to follow their instinct and make their way up a dam-like force will leave you in awe. I recommend you have a camera handy, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to capture the fish in these moments!
