If you’re in the area, odds are you’ve heard of the abundance of the best wild berries. Here’s a simple recipe to enjoy your efforts!
1 cup blackberries
1 cup blueberries
2 cups raspberries
2 cups strawberries
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup flour
1 orange, juiced and zested
¼ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
1 cup oats
1 cup flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 stick frozen butter
Mix berries with sugar, flour and orange. Place in greased dish. Preheat oven to 350C.
Mix together oats, flour, and both sugars. Grate frozen butter into dry mix.
Gently fluff together, to get a sandy consistency.
Sprinkle the crumble generously on top of berries.
Place in oven, cook for 45 mins to an hour, or until berries are bubbly and crumble is brown.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream! BEST!
